1. To be eligible for the TEA Scholarship, one parent or guardian MUST be a member of TEA or TESPA. Students do not need to be graduating from a Thompson school. This is a one-time scholarship available only to students in their first year following high school. Scholarships may be applied to two- or four-year colleges as well as other types of post-secondary training.
2. Students will complete their application as a Google form, attaching a personal statement and a copy of their transcripts. They will also have three references send letters of recommendation directly to the scholarship chairperson.
3. The amount of the scholarships offered fluctuate each year depending on the number of applicants, the involvement of the parent/guardian in TEA or TESPA, and of course, the quality of the application. Recent awards have ranged from $500 to $1500.
4. Please email questions, application, transcript, letters of recommendation, and your personal letter addressing your career plan to Raili Neibauer at:[email protected]
